Henry, the Room 4 HaSS octopus, unfortunately passed away over the long weekend.
Lynn Humby very generously came out from home on Monday to help me move the tank and equipment out of Room 4 and into my car.
Small dwarf octopuses such as Henry have a lifespan of just about 6 months, and we did not know how old he was when we got him.
That being said, I am pleased our students had the opportunity to observe and learn about such an interesting animal, and there were audiences for his lunchtime feedings right up to the end. As well, I got rather attached to him!
Thank you again to Brett Chaudhry for facilitating our acquisition of him.
