Principal's Update
The second week of term was very busy! We enjoyed insights to the Canberra Trip via the school Facebook page.
If you haven’t yet joined, you can do so at https://www.facebook.com/BridgetownHS.
With so many students in Canberra and staff supporting the trip, we had a number of relief staff during that week. I’d like to thank them for their efforts – in some classes, it was disappointing that students did not behave in their usual manner.
The Kojonup trip to the Kodja Place in Kojonup was another highlight with students learning about Aboriginal culture and heritage.
On Friday of week two we farewelled our Manager of Corporate Services, Mr Brett Chaudhry, as he takes up a position in Perth for 3 months. In his absence, Karen Fox has accepted the role of MCS and Francine Eaton will undertake the role previously held by Karen. I’d like to thank Mr Chaudhry for his service to the school over the past 10 years. He has made significant contributions and will be missed. I am sure you join me in wishing everyone well in their new roles.
Week three marks the meeting of our very dedicated P&C. It was a pleasure to meet the ladies behind the tremendous support given to the school. Your P&C representatives approved funding to support the development of student literacy for at risk students, in addition to some engaging resources to support the teaching of STEM at school.
This week we did suffer a drop in attendance due to a few nasty bugs. If you child is symptomatic (vomiting or fever), please keep them at home.
