Year 8 physical geography study.
Students in Mr Dareff's year 8 HASS class have been enjoying looking at avalanches today.
The students studied avalanche conditions and processes, and then used sugar, potato flakes and flour to simulate avalanches and the bonding layers that affect avalanche conditions.
The group in each class that was able to have the highest incline angle on its "mountain" before causing an avalanche won a prize.
