This semester in Health, Year 10 students have been participating in the ‘Keys for Life’ program, which enables them to sit their Learners Permit test at school.

The course is a government based incentive run by SDERA. (School Drug Education and Road Aware).  Students do not have to pay to sit the test, but are required to complete a compulsory journal as a prerequisite.  We have also been viewing a compelling documentary based on young male drivers in Tasmania, where their fatality rate is the highest in Australia.

Hopefully this will encourage students to use caution in the first few years of their driving experience.
