HaSS, From Mr Dareff
It has been an exciting time in HaSS this term, as Year 8 students have been turning in their medieval fair artifacts. Students made life size models of archery equipment, musical instruments, and armour shields, as well as miniature models of medieval houses and transport.
Year 7 students have completed their study of ancient civilisations, and looked at Confucius's work and sayings in ancient China and modernised them to apply to school settings today. In Upper School, the Year 9s have begun their study of economics and are busy making marketing plans and studying the impacts of tourism in Australia. Year 10s have been taking a close look at the civil rights movement in Australia and the history of non-violent protest, are busy constructing visual essays and connecting current events to historical trends.
