Bridgetown High School is currently seeking nominations from interested parents, carers and community members to be a part of our School Council. The Council meets once or twice per term and is an exciting and meaningful way to be involved in shaping the direction of our school. As a School Council member you will take part in:

• Establishing and reviewing from time to time, the school’s objectives, priorities and general policy directions;
• Planning financial arrangements necessary to fund those objectives, priorities and directions;
• Evaluated the school’s performance in achieving those objectives, priorities and directions;
• Formulating codes of conduct for students at the school; and
• Take part in the selections of, but not the appointment of, the school principal or any other members of the teaching staff if prior approval is given by the Regional Director.

This is a real opportunity to have input into the future of our school and you do not even have to have children at the school to be a member – anyone who is interested in the future of education in Bridgetown is welcome to come on board.
