The school received OLNA results for Year 10 students this week. It is pleasing to see many students have already achieved their OLNA performance in Numeracy, Reading and Writing which means they won’t have to sit these assessments in Years 11 and 12. Students are required to pass OLNA in order to achieve WACE at the end of secondary schooling. Students who have not yet met requirements will have another 4 attempts, 2 in year 11 and 2 in year 12. Individual reports that highlight the skills to be developed are available for each student. These will be distributed shortly. Congratulations to those who have prequalified or passed already!

All food speciailisation classes have been busy cooking tasty treats this week.
One of the year 7 student groups made scones which they enjoyed with jam and cream. The other class made pizza scrolls with the same basic scone recipe with the addition of ham, cheese, tomato paste and herbs.
Year 8's made mini apple pies which took some time but were very popular.
Year 9/10's made a quick chocolate fudge cake and then spent some time decorating.
The year 10 Cadets enjoyed another afternoon of awesome activities with staff and volunteers from the local fire brigade, when they ventured down to the Show Grounds oval to learn about hazardous items.
Hosing each other with the water hose might have been the highliight of the day!
