Year 6 Transition

Enrolment to Bridgetown High School for students currently in Year 6 are now open.  Please download the enrolment form and submit it to secure your place.

Year 6 students will be supported in their transition to high school through a range of initiatives:

• Visits to their primary school by our school leaders and student leaders.
• Orientation visits to the high school - the opportunity to experience the daily operations and get to know students from other primary schools.
• Extra orientation and preparation visits for students with additional needs or anxiety about starting high school.
• Our staff will meet with their teachers to get to know their needs and interests.
• Parents whose students may need extra support for their learning or wellbeing will be invited to meet with school staff and contribute to support plans being developed.
• The first week of the new Year 7 students' school year will finish with a celebration and afternoon activity (this year we took students to the pool and they enjoyed an icecream from the van - it is likely to be a similar activity in 2026).
