Humanities and Social Sciences

Students embarking on a HaSS pathway go into widely varied career fields such as lawyer, investment banker, psychologists, conservation experts, surveyors, farmers and many others.

The HaSS Department houses Bridgetown High School’s academic extension society, the Copernicus Club.  Students participate in national competitions, custom write excursions, and take on unique in-class projects.  Students have won 155 national merit awards and growing in the past four years.

Students on alternative learning pathways can participate in the Galileo program, which is a series of self-paced courses taught primarily through technology designed to add exposure to different areas in HaSS beyond the curriculum in psychology, sociology and cartography (map-making).  The Galileo program was custom-written for our school and students by a subject expert in the United States.
